Fantastic rice cooker.
Zojirushi is the Rolls Royce of rice cookers. Made in Japan, this stamp of quality instantly oozes “no bullshit”. This one has induction heating, meaning every inch of the bowl gets even heating. In fact, the bowl becomes the heating element ensuring perfectly cooked rice every time, with any amount. As always, remember to wash the rice thoroughly before cooking, and stir it after cooking. And then let it keep warm until needed. Cooks from 1 to ten cups (1.8 dl - 1.8 litres) of rice. Also comes with a nice timer function to delay the start, som it’s ready exactly when you need it. Cooks white rice in an our or less, unless using the quick function which halves the time. And of course, this being a Japanese product, it plays a nice melody, both when starting and finishing. Which of course for the prudish ones, can be replaced with beeps.

Amazing Product
Works very well: many different settings, the timer can be placed up to 13 hours beforehead (depending on the kind of rice, without extra ingredients though - as they might spoil in the water for so long) and stored warm inside for up to 12h (and more). The shipment was quick and very well handled. All instruction manuals and accessories were present (rice spoon, spoon holder, measuring cup).

Doesn't burn the rice, keeps it warm for week. Solid build - would buy again.

Quality, made in Japan
Well built, expensive but a nice investment. I have not tried it’s features out as it is 220volts since I plan to use it in Pakistan and I live in USA.

Fantastic cooker
I already had a 10 cup Zojirushi standard cooker and was very happy with it. This one is in another league. It is smaller in size, even though the bowl has the same capacity. But most importantly, it really does cook the rice better. Even though it doesn't have an 'Umami' setting the results are better than with my previous Zojirushi on the 'Umami' setting. I use the 'Softer' setting and the rice comes out perfect, with each grain glistening and separate and very tender with just a little bit of bite. The machine is easy to clean (that is the reason why I did not want the pressure cooking version of the same model, the lid is too fiddly). I am delighted with this purchase.
