      Sony HDMI wireless headphone

      I have been looking for a HDMI headphone and was surprised to find this unit. I received the unit in about 5 days in Canada. It is a great unit, the only trouble being there is no manual in English since it is only available in Japan. If you connect your hdmi unit (ex. BluRay DVD) -> AVR -> Sony MDR 7500 -> TV, you will have to use the HDMI pass through capacity of your AVR.

      At this point these are the only headphones available with an HDMI input, this means you get auto lip-syncing. Additionally I think they have the option to set the delay for the optical input, though I have haven't done this yet and all of the manual is in Japanese. On this basis they are the clear choice for watching films. Positives Spacious detailed sound with good base depth. Considering they are wireless they do a very good job with music, but if you are an audiophile you'll want a wired set and proper amplifier. More than adequate though. HDMI switching. Battery life seems good, but early days yet. Low noise leakage. Clear reception throughout the house. Negatives: The leatherette ear pads are comfortable, but quite hot to wear for long periods. No problems with 3D glasses. You have to switch the HDMI input to enable the throughput when the unit is switched off. This is a slight annoyance when not in use and linked to an AV amp. Despatch was prompt, but delivery to the UK was about 3 weeks, probably entirely due to hold ups with UK customs.

      A spectacular product! Headphones only from fidelity: clear sound, unparalleled sonic clarity and above all, they understand that they are Wi Fi headphones, because the synchronization between audio and video, and virtually seamless and real-time, the batteries last a long time (at least 18 hours continuous use) and can be recharged in less than an hour, soft ear (even if you suffer a little bit of summer ... but it would happen with any headphone to 40 ° C!), very light, almost did not hear and you forget to wear them ... Add here: HDMI (the only headphones in the world that support HDMI) input toslink / optical, analog input, what else we want more? I'm really happy!
