The SBSA257, as part of Seiko's new releases, a 37.4mm stainless steel case with a polished and brushed finish, providing a perfect balance between classic and contemporary aesthetics. The ivory dial has a sunburst finish that changes with the light, and the applied baton indices and multi-faceted hour and minute hands are treated with beige Lumibrite for excellent legibility. The bright orange central seconds hand adds a pop of color, inherited from Seiko 5 watches of the 1970s, while the date window remains at its classic 3 o'clock position.

This model is powered by the upgraded 4R36 automatic movement, which offers hand-winding capability and a hacking function for precise time setting. It has a 41-hour power reserve and is visible through a see-through caseback, adding a touch of modern sophistication to this vintage-inspired watch. The watch is paired with a newly designed steel bracelet featuring a brushed finish and a triple-folding clasp with a push-button release for secure wearing.
