Seiko SBDC027 Prospex Sumo 50th Anniversary

It's June 2015 and this Limited Edition watch was released in January 2015. I therefore had to pay a premium ($1000 vs. $600). Really, I was grateful it was still available brand new and shoppinginjapan.net was one of the few retailers selling the SBCD027. That was my reason for choosing them and for obvious reasons, I was skeptical. Mostly because they claimed to have limited quantities of brand new SBDC027's, which had a limited release of 2000 pieces worldwide. My watch arrived in about a week and was very well packaged. The watch itself is as advertised, a brand new SBDC027 (#1480) and the watch is near perfect. Keep in mind that I exhaustively inspect my watches because even minute imperfection will have me sending it back. This can be dangerous when you're keen on Seiko's and you're ordering from Canada. There are a few minor visual imperfections on my watch, but I do not fault the seller. There is the smallest nick on a groove in the bezel and the lume is "clumpy" looking in certain light. Unfortunately, Seiko's are sometimes "like this". Overall, my SBDC027 is gorgeous and I love it! Now the SBDC027 is sold out. Again, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to buy one before they became scarcer. Thank you shoppinginjapan.net! You are a quality seller!
