best watch i have ever had,it was a presant off my wife for our ruby wedding,it's a great anytime wear and so easy to read with my fading eyes.i was just wondering if it is possible to purchase just the leather parts of strap LOCA011JO as clasps are good.

Well this is a fantastic watch and can be worn for any occasion, both smart and for sports. Only point for me is the leather strap is a little short for a man with a big wrist. So I have changed my leather strap to a Sekio genuine Stainless steel bracelet as I have a big wrist and swim many times per week. Delivery and packaging was 100% so thank you very much.

Was so happy to see this watch in the flesh. It's a handsome watch no doubt. However, my heart sank when I saw a small scratch , barely visible, on the rear case. On closer inspection it seemed to me that the scratch had been polished over and they did a good job. You cannot see it unless you look for it. Used a flash light to see it and it's not discernible from certain angles but it's there. Could be that it was an imperfection with base material which was polished by a machine that did not remove it totally. Disappointing Seiko! Don't see this as SIJ 's fault. They packaged the item properly and within reason , but Seiko's packaging is again wanting. The loops holding the watch had come apart. Seems to me that Seiko is not listening to it's customers. Also Seiko should provide a protective plastic film for the face of the watch just like the back of their watches. It cannot be that costly and it can be easily included in the price and nobody would be wiser. It might seem that I'm making too much noise about a $400 watch and it's flaws but think for second; would you buy a $20 Casio that is broken or damaged.

Honestly, I was hesitant to buy the given it's price $450+ with shipping to the U.S., but I have to say I've been very happy. First, I love fully mechanical watches and this is a beauty. The dial is simple, clear and classic. It holds plenty of potential energy in with a long winding -- I can do for at least two days without worry and I suspect it can go much longer. And the quality for watch to band is standard Seiko excellence. (Added bonus: I went back to wearing a watch to stop myself from the constant phone-checking rabbit hole and it worked.)
