Had to chose between the SARY057 and the iconic, recently discontinued SARB033 and finally settled on the SARY057 because of its perfect size. The watch is a true beauty and a strap monster – when paired with a leather strap, the beauty of the black, simplistic dial goes up several notches. The watch offers unbeatable value at this price point. This is my second purchase from SIJ, the first being the Alpinist SARB017, another beautiful watch from Seiko. The parcel arrived in good condition, on time and the robust 4R36 movement has performed as per expectations so far. The buying experience with SIJ has been flawless and though I had issues with the rotating bezel of the Alpinist, I am impressed with the service levels and consistent customer service and would happily recommend SIJ

What a absolutely gorgeous piece. This watch is absolutely perfect for those who really love the SARB033 but find it's 38mm size a bit too small. The SARY is a very under rated piece that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The hour and minute hands are actually semi-matte in their finish, with the seconds hand being fully polished, something that doesn't come across in pictures. Same for the applied Seiko logo, it's a semi-matte finish. The hour markers are semi-matte on the face but fully polished on the angled edges which catches the light in a stunning manner. The braclet has a absolutely gorgeous brushed finish, with the only polish being applied to the leading edge of the center links. The case design itself is very thoughtful, even on a average to smaller than average wrist it will fit extremely well due to the lug tips being quite aggressively downturned to really a"hug"" your wrist. Saras item to me in 4 days from Japan to Canada. Incredible customer service as usual. This is the second piece I have purchased from Sara and definitely will not be the last. Excellent watch... great overall look and feel - definitely don't want to miss it anymore. Since arrival I use the watch as my daily driver at work. Size of this watch is also appealing - the SARB033 case width seemed way to small on my (tiny) wrists ;-) Buying experience with ShoppingInJapan was also an overall pleasure, seems they really care for their customers. I love the simple uncluttered look of this watch, nice and sturdy and feels good on my wrist. Looks very elegant, and I love the open back and day/date feature. To me at least-it looks and feels like a much more expensive watch, I couldn't be any happier. The purchasing and delivery process was very easy, with great communication and only ~6-7 days to deliver to Australia. Yes, the headline sums it up for me. That's how I felt when I inspected and found that there was nothing wrong with it. It's a handsome watch, no doubt but I had my fears with Seiko and this time there were problems. This is my sixth or 7th purchase from SIJ and no troubles. it is a good watch, looks a bit like GS, the general quality is good except the crown which sound a little cheap. Very classic look, good size on wrist.
