      This is my first purchase on Shopping-In-Japan. Mina was very responsive and answered all queries. The ordering was easy. The delivery was super fast and much faster than all of my prior experiences. The watch came in well-packaged box with all the documents and authentic labels from Seiko. The watch itself is a real masterpiece. Watch looks great with a tasteful black-on-black ceramic bezel and high-intensity titanium with black hard coating. Definitely a quality timepiece. The watch is easy to operate and keeps great time. Was impressed the first time it synced with the GPS. Secondly, it is solar powered. Third, it maintains dual time, very ideal as a traveller's watch. Finally, luminous numbers are extremely bright. Will not hesitate to buy from Shopping-In-Japan again.

      Very good watch with room for improvement

      Being used to Citizen and Casio/Oceanus watches and their logic I knew this watch would be a challenge in many ways. One challange was the thickness of the watch. I like a watch to be as thin as possible, but in this case - with the GPS antenna - there is probably no way the watch can be thinner at this time. Still, I hope this will change in the future. If you have a really big wrist, the length of the bracelet could be a problem. It is shorter than in - say - Oceanus models. The glass is so transparent that it "disappears" completely, really stunning! The GPS and Solar System work very well and the watch does exactly what it should. I can not say anything truly bad about the Astron. You get exactly what you see. I think the design could be improved, as the watch is a bit bulky. If other companies like Oceanus start building GPS Solar watches one day, Seiko will have to refine the design. This is the only "weak" point I see in the Astron. But I am sure Seiko will improve it from generation to generation. And maybe build in an alarm? As I said before: the Astron does exactly what it says it does. You decide...
