      Beautiful timepiece. Striking in person. Good size. Fit and finish are those of a much more expensive piece. The colorway is somehow both elegant and aggressive, and makes for a pretty unique piece in the Seiko lineup.

      I have a couple of the earlier Seiko 62mas reinterpretation watches and I love them. These are slightly larger than the more recent SPB14x model and I think the lines of the case design are a lot more elegant and I think the lume seems a bit better than the newer 62mas models. I particularly love the applied markers and the slightly domed sapphire crystal. This particular colourway (SBDC085) is known as the Darth 62mas and is just stunning in real life. The beautiful blue fume dial, applied markers, the diashield coated case and bracelet and the stunning bright yellow minute hand are highlights. That splash of colour on the minute hand against the dark case and subdued but intense blue dial is a real standout. I have - and love - the Great Blue Hole MM200 SPB083 but this Darth 62mas definitely gives it a run for its money in the good looks department! These wont be around forever, so if you are on the fence and undecided I say “do it” - I am pretty sure you wont regret it. Shopping in Japan still have a few left and their customer service is awesome. Erika was terrific in helping me with my purchase and she made everything very easy.
