Broken stem

I purchased this was about a year ago. Initially I was very pleased with it due to how accurate the movement was and how well designed the case is. About 3 months after purchase while I was setting the time, the crown broke off the stem. This watch is completely unusable now. I was shocked as I thought this was a quality piece. I’ve had many cheaper Seiko automatic watches that I have used for 15+ years and never had any problems let alone the crown coming off the stem. There were many reports of a wobbly crowns out there which mine also had but did not think it was designed so badly that it would come off. I am very careful with my watches as I have a passion for automatics and this thing coming off was obviously an Orient quality issue. Since I purchased the watch online, I emailed the retailer to see if they will cover it under warranty, disappointed to hear that Orient will not cover any stem defects in their products. Buyers beware!
