G-Shock Origin GW-5000-1JF Multiband 6 with DLC

Didn't know much about these watches before I bought this one, did a lot of research as I wanted an everyday, accurate watch, at a good price point and one, if it gets banged about a bit I wouldn't worry too much and this seemed to fit the bill. It is a very solid watch, very well made and does everything you would want from a watch of this type. The atomic time signal worked perfectly out of the box, the only thing needing changing was altering the DST setting. Service from shopping in Japan was excellent. It took less time for them to send and get to the UK than it did our customs team to decide how much to tax me which was about 5 days!! And yes they did charge me the whole 20% VAT. Even with this on top of the price of the watch I think it is still a good value watch and if I decide to sell later on I don't think it will lose too much value. Comfortable to wear and doesn't wear that big which surprised me.

This is a lovely quality watch that is worth every penny of the asking price. It's comfortable to wear and has a nice 'weighty' feel to it, due to the stainless steel construction of the case and case back. I'm usually a guy who's much more into mechanical watches, but I wanted a nearly indestructible watch for traveling all over the world, which I don't need to care as much about as an expensive mechanical watch. The Origin Series got my attention when it was first announced. Although the JDM version GW-5000-1JF is nearly double in price compared to the GW-M5610-1ER, I'd gladly pay that again. The steel case and screwback, along with the DLC make it just _feel_ better than the standard models. Of course, the Heritage Edition would be even better, but the price on that one went through the roof! Service was perfect. Communication was great, shipping fast and customs in Germany was handled by DHL and I could pay it at the door. All in all - 5 stars on both sides.

Perfect watch, very comfortable, discrete, slim compared to recent G-Schock watches. I love the screw back and solid feel of the watch. Great seller. Received in France in 6 open days by EMS. Plan for customs fee of a bit less than 70 EUR for France, to be paid at delivery.

Updated on the first night after getting in sync with tower and have not looked back since!!The Classic Casio GW5000 is a top drawer understated watch that Casio should never stop making...Get One Quick!!

The watch is tough and plain and id doesn't look like a toy. I am very satisfied. Sent to Italy in 6 days.

you'll ever find. The quality is miles apart compared to the DW-5600. Main difference is build quality. Where the DW-5600 has light feeling (almost like a toy) the GW-5000 is robust with silky smooth rubber strap. In my humble opinion it's worth the cost. Now on to shoppinginjapan.net, if I would buy a JDM watch again they would be the first store I'd check out. Amazingly fast delivery, it only took 4 working days from the time they shipped my watch until I received it. It would have been faster since the shipping from Japan to Norway only took 2 days but the postal service here spent another 2 days to ship it to my home. Anyways I highly recommend both the watch and shoppinginjapan.net.
