A climber's watch fitting well even to a buisiness suit
I had been looking for a climber’s watch coming with a compass, an altimeter, a thermometer, a barometer, and so on. Although there were a lot of watches coming out with such functions, I was still hesitating to make a decision because of my personal preferences. One of them is that I love analogue style presentation; another one is that I wanted a watch that can be well matched with any dress code so that I don’t have to think too much about the fit between a given dress code and a watch. This Manaslu edition is perfect for satisfying such personal preferences. Not only do all the functions work well, its style does fit well to a business suit. My favorite point regarding design is the dark blue-color used for a narrow circle band sitting on the watch face and a thin division line between outer bezel and an inner bezel. It adds an esthetic touch to the watch style and makes it special and professional. Of course, there were a couple of concerns before the purchase. One thing was its spec of 50mm diameter and 14mm thickness. However, the actual wearing was turned out as a great experience. Considering that my wrist is not that thick, which is around 6.5 inches, it is not that big. I guess the size is almost the same as or similar to other Casio watches with the same functions. Another concern was the leather strap. Despite my personal preferences what I was looking for was basically a climbers’ watch. It should survive tough conditions, like rain storm. Moreover, I sweat a lot. What that means is that the strap should be replaced with a urethane band at least for hiking. I wonder whether that kind of replacement would still fit well to with a business suit. And, it did. It did well both to the watch body and to a business suit. After replacing the band, I went a three-day hiking trip to one of the highest mountains in Korea. Heavy rain storm swept the mountain for two days out of three. All the functions worked well in a precise way. As someone commented on an on-line forum, it might be thought of as crazy to pay over $1,000 for a quartz. But, I think this watch is worth for the tag, because it presents all digital information in a full-analogue format with a graceful craftsmanship. What can be improved further from this edition? Maybe one thing for now from my point of view: the “beep” sound. I actually expected a “ring” sound, which can be better matched with the beautiful style. Maybe someday it will come out. Until that time, this one is perfect!!!

A climber's watch for a buisiness suit
I had been looking for a climber's watch, which comes with a compass, a thermometer, an altimeter, a barometer, and so on. Although there were a lot of watches coming with those functions, I was still hesitating to decide because of two reasons, which are basically my personal preferences. One of them is that I love analogue presentation; another one is that the watch would better be well matched to any dress code including a buisiness suit so that I do not have to think too much about a watch that well matches a given dress code. This Manaslu edition is a perfect solution satisfying such constraints. Not only do all the functions work well, the analogue presentation of all the information was just beautiful and creative. My favorite point regarding the design is the blue color. A dark blue-color used for a circle band sitting on the face and the devision circle between the outer bezel and the inner bezel makes the watch look special and professional. Before purchasing the watch, I read some comments that the watch is too big and maybe too heavy. The spec of 50mm diameter and 14mm thickiness concerned to me, too. But, the actual wearing was turned out great experience. Considering that my wrist is around 6.5 inch, it neither look that big, nor feel too heavy. The size and weight of this watch is basically almost same or similar to other Casio watches comes with almost all features. Another thing I was concerned before purchase was the leather strap. Although I was looking for a watch that can be well fit to a business suit, what I was looking for was basically a climber's watch, which can survive tough weather, like rain and snow. Furthermore, I sweat a lot. So, I replaced the strap to a urethane band after purchase. A black-color urethane band fits well with the watch and the watch still look great with a business suit. In a couple of days after the watch was delivered and I replaced the strap, I went three-day hiking to one of the highest mountains in Korea. Heavy rain stormed the mouontain for two days out of three. The Watch worked just great!!! As somebody commented over an on-line forum, it might be thought of as a bit crazy to pay over $1,000 for a quartz. But, I think that this watch is worth for the tag, because it presents all digital information with a full analogue format in a graceful way. It is just one of a kind. What would be further improved from this edition? Maybe one thing for now from my point of view is the "beep" sound. I expected a kind of "ring" sound well matched with its graceful feature. Maybe some day it will come out with such a "ring" sound. Until that time, this watch is perfect!!!

Almost perfection
The watch is as beautiful and well conceived as I imagined it. The only thing which keep me from 5 stars is that there is a little almost invisible dust string inside the watch on the second hand. It's anecdotic but perfection is perfection. I hope the chargeable battery and the mechanisms are strong and will serve for many years. But for now it's almost perfect.
