Beautiful, precision engineering - just fabulous.
Just received my OCW-G1000 and I could not be more delighted with it. The quality of the machining is exemplary - it really is immaculate. At around 43/44mm it's a large watch but sits very well on my small 7.25" wrists and doesn't look too big at all. The hands are easy to read and line up perfectly, and the lume is great. GPS location and time syncing works quickly and effectively as expected. It’s light, comfortable and looks very classy indeed. There are only two minor negatives, only one of which is regarding the watch itself. First, the user-guide is dreadful. There's no explanation of what you should actually do, merely descriptions of how to do it... if that makes sense. So it tells you how to do a manual sync, but not why or when you might want to. It's more like a list of functions than an actual manual. And it's also inaccurate/incomplete. So for example it tells you how to manually set the world time clock, but forgets to tell you that after you've set it your watch will be stopped and it doesn't tell you what to do next. The documentation is very unintuitive. The other negative, which may be down to personal preference, is that the world time clock is a 24-hour clock. I had not realised this and it's very confusing to start with. So for example if the big hand is at what is normally the 6 o'clock position and the little hand is at what would normally be the 4 o'clock position, that's half-past eight, not half-past four! Very confusing. I'd far rather they just used a 12-hour clock and let us figure out whether it's am or pm. But these minor niggles aside, this really is a beautiful watch. The quality is right up there with the very best of the Swiss brands (I would say it's actually superior to my Rolex Submariner for example). I love it!

Casio Oceanus OCW-G1000-1AJF Review
Before I bought this watch, I was researching a lot for watches using the same technology, particularly Seiko and Citizen and recently I came to this one. This is, by far, the best watch among all in terms of specs, elegance and price. The watch does exactly as advertised. I have read a reviews before purchasing this watch, with one of which criticizing its bracelet! My trust in Casio's premium design watchmakers made me challenge this review, and I was right. I have been using this watch over a month now and I can easily say that bracelet is nothing but great in terms of its look and feel. It has 2 different link sizes; 13 full-size links (~10mm=1cm) and 4 two third-size links (~6.5mm) to mix & match for an easy micro- adjustment of the bracelet. What I see so far from this watch is good enough for an easy five stars rating! – Well Done CASIO! Note: For adjusting a ~ $1700 watch bracelet, I advise you to go see an expert. You may go crazy by adjusting a $50 watch bracelet yourself, but for a watch as expensive as this one, it is not recommended to do it yourself!

High quality material, beautiful design for this high tech watch
This watch is the state-of-the-art of a quartz watch. This is the most hi tech on the market and it works perfectly (the GPS synchro is fast). But we also expect a watch to be beautiful: this one is awesome with its perfect finishing and hi quality materials. The design is simple, sporty and elegant at the same time. Finally, I bet that this watch will last and last and last... in addition, the service of SIJ was excellent and fast. The watch reached Switzerland in a few days only nicely packed

The bracelet is terrible
The sleeves that retain link pins will fall out every single time a pin is removed. Good luck finding one and replacing it. There is no micro-adjustment of the bracelet length between full link removals. Even a Timex has that! It's either too tight or too loose. A terrible quality bracelet on a very expensive daily wear watch.
